Rashtriya Intermediate College is a Hindi Medium Co-educational institution, established with the main goal of imparting value oriented and meaningful education to every child of Dharipur, Himmat Nagar and nearby villages in Sujanganj, Jaunpur who are mostly underprivileged and from economically weaker sections of the society especially girls of this area who were deprived of education due to unavailability of affordable options
Established in the year 2003, this school has its affiliation with the U.P. board since 2006. Manager of the school is Sri S P Shukla, who constituted an NGO Malti Seva Samiti and started working towards setting up a school offering education till Intermediate. The school is running from 6th to 12th. Currently there are around 600 students enrolled with 500 of them being girls.

Mr. Shitala Prasad Shukla has done M.A. from Gorakhpur University. He is a PCS allied UP govt servant retired as class 1 officer in 2001 from district Bareilly. After retirement, he took admission in law in 2001 and became a law graduate from Bareilly college in 2004 and after that, he took registration in U.P. Bar association and practiced in high court Allahabad. Meanwhile, inspired by his wife Malti Shukla, Malti Seva Samiti was registered as a nonprofit in 2003 to serve the people of the land where he took birth.
Inspired by his wife Malti Shukla, Malti Seva Samiti was registered as a nonprofit under Society Registration Act 21, 1860 in 2003 to serve the people of the land where Shitala Prasad Shukla, the Head of the NGO, took birth. Area was remote, persons were illiterate, poor and badly needed affordable education above junior high school i.e. class 8th. This was very neglected area and illiteracy was curse. Due to repeated request of his wife, he changed his attitude and gave attention to his village and purchased 0.9 hectare land to provide education, especially girls of the area. 0.4 hectare land was alloted to the Rashtriya Intermediate College Himmat Nagar Dharipur and rest of the land is in the name of Malti Seva Samiti which still have to be utilised. With the sense of the need for education in my native place I always had in my mind to contribute to the society. After being retired, I hence decided to open up a school specially for the girls who are the backbone of a society as it is rightly said when a boy is educated only a person is educated but when a girl is educated the whole family is educated. With this initiative I started this school for the backward community of my region. I want young Indian minds to study and get educated and hence get into the mainstream of the society rather than they helping the parents in farming, cattle rearing and other such activities which prevents them from education. With a dream of a literate and an educated India I started this school and with this initiative I have come a long way but there is a lot that still needs to be done. The first constructive step has been taken in this direction and I hope my initiative will bring positive changes in the society. I would also like to say that I have gotten an overwhelming response to this with more and more admissions in process and more people sending their children, the fees being negligible in today's comparison. With this vision I want the things to move ahead sustainably which is very important to this cause. Let us hope for an educated India.
